Motorized vehicles played a major role in the two World Wars. Although not very well-known, the transition from horse-drawn cargo to motorization continued for both sides throughout both wars. The only nation to enter the war with a fully motorized military was Britain. The Germans, for their part, continued to use horses to move artillery and for general logistics.
